JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Jaguars made a move on Wednesday that will impact the team's running back situation.
Second year running back Storm Johnson has been placed on the non-football illness list with an active designation.
The active tag on the list means that Johnson counts on the 90-man roster total and can be activated at any point during training camp.
Johnson is coming off a rookie season in which he played in six games (one start), rushing for 86 yards and two touchdowns on 29 carries (3.0 YPC).
He is competing with rookie Corey Grant and veterans Bernard Pierce, Corey Grant and Toby Gerhart for a depth role with the Jaguars.
