Source: Jaguars waive injured rookie linebacker Matt Robinson

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Jaguars waived rookie linebacker Matt Robinson on Monday, a source told First Coast News.

The undrafted rookie was signed shortly after this year's NFL Draft and was competing as an OTTO linebacker in training camp.

A product of the University of Maryland, Robinson is a converted safety. He initially played as a defensive back with the Terrapins before moving to linebacker in his final season.

If Robinson passes through waivers, he will revert to the Jaguars injured reserve and the team will retain his rights.
