Sen'Derrick Marks, James Sample to start camp on Jaguars' PUP list, as expected

As anticipated, the Jaguars will be without defensive tackle Sen’Derrick Marks and rookie free safety James Sample when training camp practices begin Friday.

Marks and Sample were placed on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list Tuesday while recovering from respective knee and forearm injuries.

Marks is rehabilitating a torn right anterior cruciate ligament sustained last Dec. 29 against the Houston Texans. The Jaguars remain optimistic he will be available to play in the Sept. 13 lidlifter against Carolina.

Sample is recovering from a broken right forearm sustained during an off-season practice June 4 that required surgery the next day.
