Things were so easy for the Jaguars’ offensive line last season.
Sure, they had a battle going.
Stefen Wisniewski and Luke Bowanko competed for the center spot. Both were available all through training camp.
By the end of the second preseason game, it was over. Wisniewski won and was named the starter on Aug. 24, 20 days before the regular season opened against Carolina.
The Jaguars were able to use the third (and most important) preseason game to build chemistry with their starting unit.
Things haven’t gone that smoothly this year.
The Jaguars host Tampa Bay in the second preseason game Saturday at EverBank Field and the line looks far from settled on the left side.
