The Jacksonville Jaguars have promoted second-year offensive lineman Chris Reed to the 53-man active roster. To make room on the roster, the club released veteran quarterback Ryan Nassib.
Reed, who was originally signed by Jacksonville as an undrafted rookie in 2015, has appeared in 10 games. Reed, who has started four career games, made his NFL debut and earned his first career start on September 25, 2016 in the team’s matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.
Reed also started three consecutive games for Jacksonville late in the 2016 season before sustaining a toe injury.
