The Jacksonville Jaguars have reportedly hired former Penn State co-offensive coordinator and tight ends coach Tyler Bowen to be the new tight ends coach under Urban Meyer, according to Sean Fitz.
The Jaguars have lacked a true threat at the tight end position since the departure of Marcedes Lewis. Running through failed projects such as Julius Thomas and most recently Tyler Eifert, the Jaguars need a true threat at the Y-spot, which can truly be a quarterback’s best friend.
Behind Eifert this year, the Jaguars had Josh Oliver, who underwent surgery on a broken bone in his foot and missed the entire season, James O’Shaugnessy, and Eric Saubert.
