Offensive woes a reality check early in season for Jaguars

The Jaguars offense finished last season ranked 31st in yardage and dead last in points.

The unit isn’t off to a much better start after opening the regular season with a 20-9 loss to Carolina on Sunday at EverBank Field.

Jaguars second-year quarterback Blake Bortles and first-year offensive coordinator Greg Olson began the process of moving forward to Sunday’s game against visiting Miami (1-0), but many questions remain.

The Jaguars first-team offense had 11 possessions in the preseason and scored 36 points (three touchdowns, five field goals).

“We hadn’t seen any adversity,” Olson said. “It’s been pretty clean in OTAs and training camp.
