Jaguars tight end Julius Thomas has not been cleared to participate in a full practice or play in a game yet, but is hopeful the all clear is coming soon.
In his first comments since undergoing surgery Sept. 1, Thomas was re-checked by a doctor earlier this week.
“The good news is, no bad news,” Thomas said in the Jaguars’ locker room today. “But no dates [to return], no nothing. Just waiting to get cleared.”
Thomas is unlikely to play Sunday at Indianapolis.
“I’m hoping I get a text in the middle of the night [saying], ‘You’re cleared,’ and the next day, I’m ready to go,” he said.
