As Jason Myers lined up to kick the game-winning field goal as time expired, his coach never felt the pressure.
Mairst College head football coach Jim Parady never doubted his freshman kicker. With one second left on the clock, the 37-yard field goal was good before it ever left his foot.
"I wouldn't have sent him out there unless he proved to me that he was ready for that moment," said Parady, who recruited Myers from sunny California to the small New York-based college in 2009.
Myers' clutch kick gave the Mairst football team a 23-21 victory over Georgetown.
