JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- For the first time, Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry is weighing in on the debate surrounding bringing Syrian refugees to Florida.
"Friday is a sobering day for the world. Friday evening I was on the phone with the sheriff numerous times to talk with him about their intelligence," said Mayor Curry.

Curry says in the wake of the Paris attacks, he's been briefed by law enforcement every day and says he's been told Thursday's game is not a target.
"I am in regular conversation with the sheriff, the intelligence agencies, the FBI and people should come out Thursday night and have a good time.
