Maurice Jones-Drew’s football playing days are over, but he still has his ebullient personality.
Jones-Drew signed a one-day contract Tuesday to retire as a Jaguar and then flashed his wit during his retirement press conference attended by his wife, three children and his mother.
Jones-Drew said he was recently playing flag football and, “I was tearing them up and I called my agent and said, “I still got it.’’
But the broken hand he suffered in the opener with Oakland last year was a factor in his decision.
“I feel I can still play at a high level, but my mind is not as strong as my body,’’ he said.
