Leonard Fournette pens classy goodbye to Jaguars, city of Jacksonville

The Jaguars waived fourth-year running back Leonard Fournette earlier today with head coach Doug Marrone calling the move, “what’s best for the team,” a change that will impact the team moving forward, what Marrone believes will be for the better.

For the first time since the announcement, Fournette has spoken out regarding his release, and sent a thoughtful and classy goodbye to the city of Jacksonville and the Jaguars organization.

“First, I want to thank the city of Jacksonville and all of the fans for embracing me the past 3 seasons,” Fournette writes.
