Every Friday, the Jaguars’ defensive backs gather in an EverBank Field meeting room to watch a video containing every interception from the previous week’s NFL games. The players try to pick up pointers.
How did that cornerback put himself in position? How often did pressure on the quarterback force an errant throw? How many picks came off deflections?
“We do try to look at their ideas and techniques,” cornerback Aaron Colvin said.
But Colvin and Co. ask another question germane to their team: Why can’t the Jaguars make those types of plays?
“We’ll watch 30-some interceptions and we’re not a part of it,” free safety Josh Evans said.
