When Jacksonville Jaguars general manager David Caldwell made offensive lineman Luke Joeckel the second pick of the 2013 NFL Draft, he was hoping the prospect out of Texas A&M would develop into a franchise left tackle capable of holding down the fort for the next decade or so.
Fast-forward to 2016 and there’s little to no optimism about Luke Joeckel and his ability to develop into an upper-echelon tackle. After his rookie season was cut short, Joeckel has improved incrementally in the last 2 years but not enough to be considered even an average left tackle.
