Josh Evans feeling good about his shoulder and new role

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --- Despite being a two-year starter, Jacksonville Jaguars safety Josh Evans has been under the radar so far this offseason.

Part of the reason for his relative obscurity is a shoulder surgery dating back to prior to organized team activities. Evans has been taking it easy on the field while he recovers from the procedure, which has allowed others like free agent signing Sergio Brown and rookie James Sample to enter the spotlight.

Evans is also undergoing a bit of a transition with the playbook, as he's going from a full-time free safety to learning the strong safety position prior to his third NFL season.
