If you watched the CBS NFL pre-game show on Sunday prior to the mid-day kickoff, you saw a kind of weird pseudo-report from Jason La Canfora about Jacksonville Jaguars VP of football Tom Coughlin thinking about taking over as the head coach in 2019. This was amid all the uncertainty of who will be back after the disaster of the 2018 season.
When I saw this, I immediately panned it because you could tell that La Canfora was kind of just connection dots and trying to read too much into ... well really I guess jokes made by people like CBS’ Pete Prisco, who often makes a crack about Coughlin coming down from the booth to coach the team.
