JALEN RAMSEY: GOOD PICK OR NOT
WHY IT IS:
-Ramsey is a rare athlete. Like once every seven-to-10 years rare. The 6-foot-1, 209-pound Ramsey ran the 40-yard dash in 4.41 seconds with a 41 1/2-inch vertical leap at the Scouting Combine. Jaguars general manager Dave Caldwell compared him to Antonio Cromartie, an 11-year veteran with 31 career interceptions and 114 break-ups.
-The Jaguars finally have a potential shut-down corner. Caldwell has drafted four cornerbacks in his first three drafts. None have turned into solid starters. The Jaguars needed to start developing a long-term solution to supplant free-agent additions in Davon House and Prince Amukamara.
