JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Jaguars waived third-year safety Matt Daniels with an injury designation on Tuesday afternoon.
The Jaguars announced the move shortly after the team's last practice of the preseason.
Daniels had been with the Jaguars since October with most of his time spent on the team's practice squad.
Prior to joining Jacksonville, Daniels played six games in two seasons with the St. Louis Rams.
If Daniels passes through waivers, he will revert to the Jaguars injured reserve.
