For the first time in his life, Trevor Lawrence will be unable to play football due to injury.
He made it through high school, college, and nearly three years of pro ball before his impressive streak came to a close. The Jacksonville Jaguars have officially ruled out its star quarterback ahead of Week 17’s matchup with the Carolina Panthers.
Lawrence sustained an AC sprain in his right throwing shoulder last week. This season, he’s also dealt with a knee sprain, a high ankle sprain, and a concussion.
Backup quarterback C.J. Beathard (2-10 career record) is expected to start for Jacksonville.
