The Jacksonville Jaguars started their 2019 training camp without Yannick Ngakoue on the practice field but do expect him to join them in the future.
Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone told the media on Thursday he has spoken to Ngakoue and expects the defensive end to be in camp at some point. When that will happen is still up in the air.
Marrone addressed the situation with Ngakoue – a fourth-year player in the final year of his rookie deal with no safety net for a fifth-year option. There is no doubt that he has outplayed the deal that will pay him just over $2 million this season.
