Jaguars' Thomas makes debut after preseason hand injury

TAMPA | Tight end Julius Thomas, the Jaguars’ prize free agent last spring, finally made his regular-debut on Sunday.

Thomas, who broke a bone in his right hand during the first preseason game in August, played on a limited basis and had two catches for 20 yards, both in the first half of the Jaguars’ 38-31 to the Buccaneers.

““There were no setbacks,’’ Thomas said after the game. “That’s encouraging.

“I’m more worried about being out there on the field. It takes a little while to adjust to a new offense. I’m adjusting and as a team we’re adjusting.
