Jaguars general manager Dave Caldwell has targeted Friday for finalizing the team’s draft board, six days ahead of the first round.
“We’re splitting hairs a little bit,” Caldwell said. “In our first three rounds, we like to have a grouping of guys and then spend [the final two weeks] ranking them.”
What the top of the chart says, we may not ever know. But for the Jaguars, it’s a pretty good guess that they’re going defense with the fifth overall pick. They will have their choice of the defensive board save for one or two players and four players are glowing more than others on their radar: Ohio State defensive end Joey Bosa, Oregon defensive lineman DeForest Buckner, UCLA linebacker Myles Jack and Florida State cornerback Jalen Ramsey.
