The Jaguars added offensive line depth today by signing free agent guard Mackenzy Bernadeau.
The Times-Union was told this morning Bernadeau was visiting EverBank Field. Fox Sports reported the transaction.
Bernadeau, 30, was originally a seventh-round pick by Carolina in 2008 and has started 49 games in eight years with the Panthers and Dallas Cowboys.
Bernadeau, listed at 6-foot-4 and 292 pounds, joins a Jaguars guard crowd that includes starter A.J. Cann, starter-if-he’s-not-moved-to-center Brandon Linder as well as Tyler Shatley and Luke Bowanko.
Bernadeau projects as a back-up for the Jaguars.
Bernadeau has started games at right and left guard.
