The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed seventh-year veteran defensive lineman Datone Jones. To make room on the roster, the Jaguars waived rookie defensive lineman Shane Bowman.
Jones has played in 67 career games during stints with the Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Detroit Lions, San Francisco 49ers, and Dallas Cowboys.
He was originally drafted in the first round (26th overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Packers, where he spent four seasons and competed in at least 13 games in each year. He tallied a career-high in tackles (27) during his second season in Green Bay in 2014, while combining for 9.
