The Jaguars rolled along with their draft-pick signings Wednesday, locking up fourth-round safety James Sample and seventh-round receiver Neal Sterling with four-year contracts.
The signing of Sample, Sterling and first-round defensive end Dante Fowler (on Tuesday) leaves five unsigned draft picks.
Sample’s deal includes a $548,580 signing bonus and a $572,154 salary cap hit this year. Sterling’s deal includes a $77,628 signing bonus and a $454,407 first-year cap hit.
Sample, 22, spent two years at the University of Washington and one non-playing year at American River (Calif.) College before finding a short-term home at Louisville.
Starting all 13 games for the Cardinals, Sample led the team with 80 tackles and had four interceptions.
