The Jaguars announced the signing of running back Cameron Marshall this morning.
To make room for Marshall, undrafted rookie quarterback Max Wittek was waived.
Marshall has not appeared in an NFL regular season game. He becomes the fifth tailback on the Jaguars’ roster behind T.J. Yeldon, Chris Ivory, Denard Robinson, Corey Grant and Joe Banyard.
Marshall, 24, rushed for 2,700 yards on 579 carries and 38 touchdowns at Arizona State. After going undrafted in 2013, he signed with Miami and spent time on the Dolphins’ practice squad. He was cut by the Dolphins during 2014 training camp and signed with the CFL’s Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
