Jaguars rookie safety James Sample said Monday he will be sidelined 10 to 12 weeks with the broken right forearm he suffered in a fluke play at the team’s organized team activity (OTA) last Thursday.
Sample said he had a plate and two screws inserted before the arm was put in a cast last Friday and he will find out Wednesday if the plate will remain in his forearm.
If he is back in 10 weeks, he will return late in training camp. If he is out 12 weeks, he may miss the preseason and return a week or so before the regular season opens on Sept.
