Guard A.J. Cann rented a hotel ballroom in Columbia, S.C., this spring so he could host a private NFL Draft party.
There was speculation Cann could be a first- or second-round pick, but there was also chatter he could fall to the third round despite starting 51 games at South Carolina.
Cann went undrafted through the first two rounds and was so disappointed, he thought about watching the rest of the draft by himself.
But with the third pick in the third round, the Jaguars ended Cann’s wait.
Three months later, after reporting to training camp, he’s eager to start practice Friday.
