The Jacksonville Jaguars announced Saturday that they’ve released veteran LB Audie Cole.
This move leaves the Jaguars with an open roster spot.
Cole, 28, is a former seventh-round pick of the Vikings back in 2012. He played out his rookie contract with the Vikings before re-signing to a one-year, $760,000 deal a year ago.
Cole signed a two-year, $2.6 million contract with the Jaguars back in March and was set to make base salaries of $1 million over the next two years.
In 2016, Cole appeared in all 16 games for the Vikings and recorded 12 tackles.
