Not long after it was reported that the Jaguars would be re-signing soon-to-be unrestricted free agent guard Tyler Shatley to a one-year contract, the team announced it has signed cornerback Tre Herndon, who was slated to become a restricted free agent.

“Herndon, 5-11, 185, has appeared in 43 games and made 26 starts in his three-year career in Jacksonville,” the team said in its press release.
“He was the only undrafted rookie to make the opening day roster in 2018 and played in all 16 games in both 2019 and 2020.
