The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed rookie long snapper Colin Holba to the team’s active roster. To make room on the roster, Matt Overton was placed on the team’s reserve/injured list.
Holba was originally selected in the sixth round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers. Holba attended the University of Louisville where he served two seasons (2015-16) as the team’s primary long snapper. Holba was released by the Steelers on September 2 during roster reductions.
Overton, a sixth-year veteran who was signed on August 3, sustained a shoulder injury in the team’s Week 10 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers.
