The Jacksonville Jaguars have promoted WR Jaelen Strong to their active roster on Saturday and waived WR Larry Pinkard with an injury designation, according to Mike Kaye.
Should Pinkard pass through waivers unclaimed, he would revert to the team’s injured reserve list on Tuesday.
Strong, 23, was taken in the third round of the 2015 NFL draft by the Texans. He’s in the third year of his four-year, $3.281 million rookie contract that included $820,338 guaranteed and stands to make base salaries of $615,000 (2017), and $705,000 (2018) over the remainder of the contract.
