From Ryan O'Halloran:
The Jaguars have promoted defensive line coach Todd Wash to defensive coordinator.
Wash, 47, replaces Bob Babich, who was fired Jan. 5 after the Jaguars finished 5-11 and allowed the second-most points in the NFL.
Wash followed coach Gus Bradley to the Jaguars from Seattle after the 2012 season.
Bradley interviewed three outside candidates – defensive backs coaches Marquand Manuel (Atlanta), Lou Anarumo (Miami) and Jerome Henderson (Dallas) and veteran NFL coach Jim Schwartz, who was then hired by the Philadelphia Eagles as defensive coordinator.
Wash was on the same staff as Bradley with North Dakota State, Tampa Bay, Seattle and the Jaguars.
