Jaguars president Mark Lamping discussed many topics this morning after an appearance in front of EverBank Field with linebacker Telvin Smith and Daytona International Speedway officials to announce Smith as the pace-car driver for next month’s Sprint Cup race.

*Lamping said the season-ticket renewal rate is in the “mid 80’s,” but the Jaguars hope to hit 90 percent before the end of the summer.
Lamping: “We’re running well ahead of where we thought we would be in terms of new season sales.”
Lamping said the Jaguars, “certainly expect to be in excess of 45,000 season ticket sales,” this year.
