Jaguars position preview: Addition of Jack gives linebacker unit significant upgrade

What we know about Jaguars second-round pick Myles Jack: He is a rare athlete, is healthy, is the presumptive middle linebacker in 2017 and is adding a play-making dimension the organization hasn’t had in years.

The expectations inside and outside EverBank Field are that Jack can be a game-changer.

“He’s a freak,” defensive coordinator Todd Wash said.

But as the Jaguars continue the countdown to training camp, two questions about Jack lack clarity: What position will he play? And which situations will he play?

Jack is learning middle linebacker, which the coaches believe will give him a broader knowledge of the defense.
