Welcome to today’s Jacksonville Jaguars conversation starter!
The Jaguars’ EDGE group took a hit when third-year pro De’Shaan Dixon sustained a knee injury during Monday’s training camp practice. The team hasn’t provided information about the severity of the injury at this time.
Whether or not Dixon misses significant time, Jacksonville has one of the thinner EDGE units in the league. Josh Hines-Allen and Travon Walker are a formidable duo as former first-round picks, but Trevis Gipson and Rasheem Green could be the next men up as low-cost free agents. Dixon and 2023 fifth-round pick Yasir Abdullah have yet to bring down an NFL quarterback and the only other outside pass rushers rostered are practice squaders DJ Coleman and Tanner Muse.
