The Jacksonville Jaguars have placed a second round tender on backup running back Corey Grant, according to Ryan O’Halloran of the Florida Times-Union.
Grant, who made the team as an undrafted rookie, was initially brought in as a kickoff specialist and gunner. He has impressed in spurts, earning 68 rushes for 414 yards (6.1 yards per carry) and three touchdowns. He had a 57-yard fake punt touchdown against the Los Angeles Chargers last year and finished the season with nine receptions for 89 yards and one touchdown.
This year, the second round tender is valued at $2.
