As negotiations appear to be at a standstill over his high-profile proposal to redevelop the Shipyards property on downtown’s waterfront, Jaguars owner Shad Khan said Tuesday he plans to move ahead with plans to build an indoor practice facility located just outside EverBank Field that he will finance at a cost in the “ballpark” of $30 million.
Khan’s Shipyards project included an indoor facility for the Jaguars, but he wants his team to have an alternate facility by the start of next season.
“I’m not sure when the Shipyards will be done,” Khan said after hosting a luncheon benefitting the Jaguars’ charitable foundation.
