Jaguars owner Shad Khan backed former Mayor Alvin Brown in the election last year, but Khan’s made a smooth transition to building a relationship with new Mayor Lenny Curry. Curry was in the front row at the Jaguars’ annual State of the Franchise presentation Friday, and Khan acknowledged him from the podium.
Khan and Curry have already worked out a $90 million deal — with Khan and the city each putting up $45 million — to build an amphitheater and practice field and to renovate the club seats. The deal was approved by the City Council
“We have a fantastic relationship,” Curry said after the presentation.
