Jaguars owner Shad Khan sounded like Marlon Brando in the 1954 classic “On the Waterfront” following Friday’s annual State of the Franchise talk at EverBank Field.
Khan lamented the many close-call losses the Jaguars endured during last season's 5-11 campaign. A three-game losing streak to close the season — also dropping five of their last six — doomed any run at winning the subpar AFC South.
“We were so close in so many games,” Khan said. “I think I can recite every game and every play. Especially in the AFC South, we could have been a contender.
