The Jaguars made their first trade of this year's NFL Draft today, dealing No. 103 to the New York Jets for Nos. 104 and 229.
The Jaguars' pick is Louisville safety James Sample, a 6-foot-2, 209-pound strong safety who had 90 tackles and four interceptions last year.
Sample played two years at Washington, one year at American River College in California and one year at Louisville.
Sample’s freshman year at Washington in 2011 was limited to two games because of a shoulder injury and he left the team after three games in 2012 after a position change to linebacker.
