HOUSTON — The Jacksonville Jaguars have been eliminated from the AFC South divisional race without even completing their Week 16 game on Sunday.
The Jaguars (5-9) are battling the New Orleans Saints (5-9) in a game that will have no impact on the playoffs for either team.
The Houston Texans (8-7) defeated the Tennessee Titans (3-12) earlier in the afternoon, 34-6, to officially eliminate the Jaguars from playoff contention.
Also, the Indianapolis Colts (7-8) defeated the Miami Dolphins (5-10), 18-12. The Colts win means that the AFC South has not been clinched.
The Texans will host the Jaguars next week in Houston.
