Evans adjusting to strong-side role, adds versatility
Josh Evans is in the same position for a third consecutive Jaguars training camp: Backup safety. But this is likely the first time he’ll stay in that role.
As a rookie in 2012, Evans started 11 games when Dwight Lowery sustained a season-ending concussion. Last year, Evans started 14 games when the Jaguars released Winston Guy.
But those starts came at free safety. When the Jaguars signed Sergio Brown and drafted James Sample this off-season, Evans was moved to strong safety.
