Yesterday, there was a report that surfaced indicating the Jaguars were taking calls, or answering requests on the idea of trading its quarterback in Gardner Minshew II. Today, Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer stated the team is not actively shopping its starting quarterback from a year ago.
“At this point, no,” Meyer said during his Friday morning press briefing when asked if the team was actively shopping the team’s now-starting quarterback.
Meyer and Minshew have met just twice, the second meeting came yesterday, Meyer says, something that he isn’t used to being from the collegiate game. In college football, the head coach can typically meet with its quarterback multiple times, and for more hours during these past two months than they can in the NFL, something Meyer will have to get used to.
