Suspended Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Justin Blackmon had his rights claimed by the CFL's Toronto Argonauts on Monday, but they may never get a chance to see him suit up for a game.
According to Alex Marvez of FOXSports.com, the Jaguars, who still hold Blackmon's football rights, may not let him play. Why? Because the Jaguars would need to release him first (which they don't want to do) which would prevent them from recouping any more of the $7.1 million signing bonus they paid him.
As this story keeps progressing, it becomes more and more apparent the Jaguars aren't holding on to Blackmon because of any football reasons, but to try and get back some of their investment.
