When the Jacksonville Jaguars handed their selection in for the 3rd pick of the 2015 NFL Draft, they were hoping they found a solution to their edge-rushing woes. Dante Fowler Jr. was heralded as the top defensive player in the draft and as a guy who could come in and provide a pass rush right away. Unfortunately, Fowler tore his ACL in his first practice with the team during rookie minicamp, and he won’t get a chance to make an impact until 2016.
So the Jaguars are pretty much exactly where they were last year – wondering where to find a consistent edge rush.
