Jaguars' Marcedes Lewis optimistic

Now that Josh Scobee has departed, tight end Marcedes Lewis has the most seniority in the Jaguars locker room.

The 10-year veteran, drafted on the second round in 2006, is the only Jaguars player who has been with the team longer than six years. Tyson Alualu, in his sixth season, is second in seniority and Paul Posluszny is third in his fifth year with the team.

Then there are four players in their fourth seasons as Jaguars – Andre Branch, Bryan Anger, Chad Henne and Ryan Davis.

They are the only players on the roster who weren’t brought in by general manager Dave Caldwell, who was hired along with coach Gus Bradley in 2013.
