JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Former Portland State wide receiver Kasey Closs is a longshot to make the Jacksonville Jaguars roster, but that hasn't stopped him from making an impression on his teammates and coaches.
Closs, a former slot receiver from the Big Sky Conference, is learning how to play on the outside in the NFL for the first time. While the road has been bumpy for the 23-year-old Closs, he has relied on his work ethic and his teammate's guidance to improve.
"It's definitely been a rough transition but I feel like now that I'm starting to understand the concepts of our offense and how to get off press [coverage] it's definitely coming around," said Closs.
