Jaguars outside linebacker Telvin Smith will never be the face of the franchise.
That distinction is usually reserved for the franchise quarterback, which the Jaguars have in Blake Bortles.
However, what Smith wants is to personify the essence of the Jaguars. Smith enters his third season with a firm grasp on what it takes to succeed on the field and is trying to take his leadership to a higher level.
His goal in 2016 isn’t to make the Pro Bowl. It’s to be the ultimate employee.
“If someone asks what is a Jaguar, what do we represent, I want them to say Telvin Smith,” Smith said.
