Jacksonville Jaguars legend Jimmy Smith wants to join Deion Sanders’ coaching staff at Jackson State University.
“I would almost give my left arm to be a part of this staff,” Smith told TMZ Sports on Tuesday after Sanders was announced as the new head coach.
Jackson State holds a special place in Smith’s heart — he played there for four years from 1988-1991 and finished his college career with 110 receptions, 2,073 yards and 16 touchdowns. In 2011, he was named to the Jackson State University All-Century team.
And now that Sanders is the head coach, Smith is going to do everything he can to be a part of the team.
